Synopsis
Originally published in 1995, this volume comprises two collections of instructive essays on physics. Written for a general audience and keeping both technical language and mathematics to a minimum, the first collection introduces the basics of physics, atoms, energy, gravitation, quantum force, and the relationship of physics to other subjects. The second collection covers the major points in Einstein's theory of relativity. Feynman (1918-1988) won the 1965 Nobel Prize for his work in quantum electrodynamics. Annotation c. About the Author
Richard P. Feynman was raised in Far Rockaway, New York, and received his Ph.D. from Princeton. He held professorships at both Cornell and the California Institute of Technology. In 1965 he received the Nobel Prize for his work on quantum electrodynamics. He died in 1988.
