Synopsis
At the beginning of the twentieth century, Chatham already had a long New England history and was just emerging as a major coastal resort. During the next 40 years, modern tourism developed, mixing historic buildings and coastal traditions with new features catering to off-Cape visitors. Postcards captured the scenic and cultural beauty of Chatham and documented the tranquil images of the seaside setting. About the Author
Biologist Bob Zaremba and airline manager Danielle Jeanloz are both antique dealers in Chatham. Their interest in local history and enthusiasm for this coastal resort, combined with a large collection of Chatham postcards, have resulted in an affectionate account of the historic roots of this popular town.
