About the Author

ABOUT OUR AUTHOR
 Ellen Knauer earned her B.A. in French Literature at Pennsylvania State University in State College, Pennsylvania. She also studied as an exchange student at the Université de Strasbourg, in Strasbourg, France. She was awarded the Copeland-Andelot Fellowship for graduate study at the University of Delaware, where she earned her M.A. in French Literature.  Subsequent coursework at Immaculata College, Saint Joseph’s College, West Chester University, and Temple University led to the completion of Pennsylvania teaching certificates in French, German, and Italian. Mrs. Knauer still enjoys taking courses and has accumulated more than 60 post-M.A. graduate credits. She has also published a series of animated lessons for the foreign language classroom in French, German, Italian, and Spanish.  She currently teaches French and Italian for the West Chester Area School District, in West Chester, Pennsylvania.
