About the Author

From his Texas hill country home, Colonel Ingram Philips, United States Army (Retired), writes the historical series that began with BEYOND SUNDOWN and continues with CONCHO SUNRISE, targeted for the year 2000. An avid outdoorsman and history buff, he enjoys studying the Lone Star State frontier forts--especially, McKavett, Concho, and Davis--and exploring America's Civil War battlefields. A University of Florida journalism graduate, Ingram holds a doctoral degree from Drew University. He is an active member of the Alamo Writers Unlimited, Southwest Writers Workshop, Western Writers of America, and the National Writers Association.
