A Life Trustee of M.I.T., Angus has served on or chaired more than a dozen of the school's most important associations and committees, and was a founding member of the M.I.T Council for the Arts. Named to President Reagan's Task Force on Arts and Humanities in 1981-1982, Angus was also a past president of the Toynbee Prize Foundation, and a founder of the Festival Orchestra Society of New York. Middle Ground, his autobiographical first book, was published by M.I.T Press in 1971. He lives in Greenwich, Connecticut.
