Remember the old adage, "Be careful what you wish for, you just may get it?" The Ties That Bind takes a realistic, sometimes brutal, sometimes funny look at love, betrayal and hurt as seen through the eyes of Mia, Brice and Christian. Jealousy and possessiveness cannot exist hand in hand with love; something or someone is bound to explode.
Mia is the attractive, full of life, flirty and hopeless romantic, who is going to find that there are many lessons to learn in the game of love. Mia has always dreamed of the day when she would meet and marry her "black knight"; her soul mate---the one person in life who makes your life complete. When you find him, you'll know. . . Her dream man, Brice, has other ideas about the true meaning of love.
Brice is the arrogant, passionate, sexy and strikingly handsome man, who steals Mia's heart and identity. Mia tells a friend, "Sometimes, I feel like I am losing myself to him." Brice is fiery, jealous, very possessive and is looking for an old-fashioned wife, someone like his mother; one who knows he wears the pants in the family. When he meets Mia, he knows she's the one. She's the one he has been searching for. Sure enough, sparks and chemistry fly!
Christian, Brice's best friend and fellow womanizer, has never been in love his entire life. Women are a dime a dozen. And he is not searching for love. Christian knows from experience that you can lose loved ones so quickly, so he is about having a good time and living life to its fullest until Mia, the angel with the smile, enters the picture. Christian finally feels love for the first time in his life; unfortunately, it's for his best friend's wife, Mia. Some serious drama starts to unfold.
