In the mid-eighties, Rabbit Ears pioneered audiobooks read by celebrities for children. They produced and packaged high-quality stories on cassettes, enhanced with original music and accompanied by colorful picture books, allowing young readers to follow along as they listened to master readers. This collection takes four American tall tales and repackages them as a CD set, without picture book accompaniment. Narrators are well matched to the stories; Keillor and Winters are especially well practiced in the art of telling tall tales.
