The first 70 pages lay out a loose plan for people who are just embarking on a fitness regimen (for example, a section on strength training says to use "the major muscle groups" but doesn't say which groups those are and what sorts of strength training exercises develop them). The book also gives readers the chance to assess their current health and fitness level and set goals. The journal portion provides two pages per day for eight weeks, where readers can jot down items on a to-do list, as well as record their level of energy and their emotions on a given day, the fitness activities they engaged in, the foods consumed, the hours worked and other essentials. While ineffective for those with an already established routine, this workbook might help those who are starting from scratch.
