About the Author:

Solala Towler lives in Eugene, Ore., and is president emeritus of the National Qigong Association. He is the publisher of The Empty Vessel: A Journal of Contemporary Taoism and is author of A Gathering of Cranes: Bringing the Tao to the West, Embarking on the Way: A Guide to Western Taoism, and the four volume Tao Paths series. He is a certified instructor of several different styles of qigong and Taoist meditation. He has led tours to China to study qigong and visit the famed Yellow Mountains.
