Sixteen year old Nina Daniels is missing. A young man is arrested as the suspect and charged with her abduction and murder. He claims he was framed, but by whom and why? Steven Augustine is a handicapped veteran and Nina's avid trout fishing partner. He takes up the search along with the girl's mother, Susan. The defense attorney, Calvin Templar, feels he can clear his client even though there is a preponderance of incriminating circumstantial evidence. The prosecuting attorney, J. Oscar Haddley, is certain he has an air-tight case even without the corpus delicti, but he hopes a search will turn up a body.
