It provides a simple way of constructing a model of a system, and automatically calculates its behaviour. Presenting a simple set of tools for assembling the model, emphasis is placed on "stocks" which represent the values of time-dependent qualities. Emphasis is also placed on "flow regulators" which regulate the changes in stocks.
