Louis Thorn and Haruto `Harry' Yamada - the Eagle and the Crane - are the star attractions of a daredevil aerial stunt team that traverses Depression-era California. The young men have a complicated relationship, thanks to the Thorn family's belief that the Yamadas - Japanese immigrants - stole land from the Thorn family. This tension is inflamed when Louis and Harry both drawn to the same woman, Ava. After the Japanese bomb Pearl Harbor there are changes and harsh realities to face. About the Author:
Suzanne Rindell recently earned her PhD in English literature from Rice University in spring 2018. She is the author of the forthcoming historical mystery, EAGLE & CRANE (July 3, 2018), as well as THREE-MARTINI LUNCH (2016) and THE OTHER TYPIST (2013). THE OTHER TYPIST has been translated into 15 languages and optioned for film by Fox Searchlight Pictures. She divides her time between California and New York City and is currently working on her next novel.
