Synopsis
The 1920s and 1930s heralded a golden age of motoring, with the new technology progressing in leaps and bounds - sometimes with amusing results. The more humorous aspects were not missed by the commentators of the day, and the magazine "Punch" (150 years old in 1991) yielded a rich seam of articles and cartoons. Many of these are reproduced here, and in true "Punch" form they take a wry look at the lighter side of all forms of early motoring.
