Grade 3-5-- Two British titles that aim, through question-and-answer formats, to deal with emotional issues that effect children's lives. The glossy and attractive layouts utilizing colorful graphics and posed photography overshadow the stilted and mundane texts. Problem-solving techniques are encouraged, and specific solutions are suggested for the questions raised. Bullying confronts an issue faced by many, but that is rarely discussed in juvenile nonfiction. Tips are given for dealing with specific situations, stressing the victim's worth and the individual's inherent right to live without physical/verbal abuse. The bully is identified as the problem person with motives exposed. Divorce provides no new insights, but simply duplicates previous efforts by numerous authors. The books are best suited for parenting/bibliotherapy collections or where discussion with an adult can follow or accompany the reading. --Celia A. Huffman, Cuyahoga County Public Library, Cleveland
