Synopsis
This simple book compares photographs of people in common roles in the community in the early 20th century with similar people typically seen today. Child readers are encouraged to look in detail at the photographs to learn about life in the past and how it is different today. Differentiated text enables less able readers to access the information in the book as well as providing more detailed information for the more able. Detailed information on each of the historical photos is provided at the back of the book for teachers as well as a picture glossary, index and lists of further reading and places to visit.
