This volume contains the courses on General Relativity delivered at the 46th Scottish Universities Summer School in Physics, held at Aberdeen in July 1995. The courses were given by acknowledged experts in their field. The book is thus aimed at postgraduate and postdoctoral students and as such provides an excellent introduction to many areas of the subject, both mathematical and physical.
