Synopsis
1928, The Isle of Dogs. When her sailor husband goes missing, presumed drowned, Eve Kumar struggles to provide for herself and her twin sons. When the Thames floods its banks wrecking Eve's business and cottage she is forced to take refuge with lecherous Harold Slygo and his wife. Eve is befriended by young police constable Charlie Merritt who shares Eve's suspicions that her husband's death was no accident. When Eve disappears, Charlie is desperate to save the woman he has grown to love!
