DeAnne Blanton is a senior military archivist at the National Archives, Washington DC. Lauren M.Cook is special assistant to the chamcellor for university communications at Fayetteville State University in North Carolina. She is the editor of an Uncommon Soldier. The Civil War Letters of Sarah Rosetta Wakeman, Alias Private Lyons Wakeman.
