Harry Evans's first years of life were blighted by a brutal stepfather. At the age of five his mother, Sali, married a miner, Lloyd Evans, a passionate believer in workers' rights. About the Author:
Catrin Collier was born and brought up in Pontypridd. She worked in Europe and America before returning to her native Wales. She now lives on the Gower Peninsula near Swansea, with her family.
