When his estranged ne'er-do-well son gets in trouble with the Russian mob, the aging Kip must get back into the game and pull the con of his life. Narrator Norman Dietz injects world-weariness, interspersed with just the right amount of smarminess, into the character of an aging father who is trying to redeem a life of regret and bad luck.
