Gazing at a nighttime sky full of stars is a powerful invitation to the imagination. Explorers: Stars and Planets takes readers out for an exploration of the galaxy beyond Earth's atmosphere. Starting with what we see and moving outward to the Moon, the nearby planets, what it is like to travel and live in space, and space exploration beyond where humans can travel, young readers can explore the book sequentially, or pick a theme and follow the links through the book. “Kids acclimated to following bits of stimuli down the rabbit hole of the web will be right at home with the interactive approach taken by [this new book] in the Explorers series. Each spread presents a new array of facts and information bytes around a central, digitally composed image, with small color-coded symbols that lead readers off into related information on different pages, emphasizing a subject-based browse that leaps forward and backward through the book before being recapped on a final page. . . . The choose-your-own-path approach, which allows readers to follow the aspects that interest them most, makes [this book] a [clear choice] for curious readers.” ―Booklist
