Ann Lloyd began her professional interest in film by studying at the London Film School before moving into publishing. Since then she has been the co-originator and editor on The Movie partwork magazine; a regular columnist or film reviewer for various film magazines and a feature-writer for DVD magazines; the editor of numerous film histories, encyclopedias and other film reference books. Rob Hill brings technical, insider expertise as well as encyclopedic knowledge to his refreshing contributions to this book. A film buff's buff, his work in film post-production at one of the UK's leading visual effects companies informs his natural gift and critical eye in assessing the work of directors, actors and the crew in his considered reviews. Ronald Bergan is a regular contributor to many British national newspapers and has been consultant and writer on a number of TV documentaries. He is Vice-President of FIPRESCI (International Federation of Film Critics). He has held the Davidson Chair of Humanistic at Florida International University in Miami, where he currently teaches Film History and Theory, and has published many books. Chris Darke is a writer and critic who has published widely on film and in The Independent, Sight and Sound, and Film Comment, among others. A collection of his essays Light Readings: Film Criticism and Screen Arts (Wallflower Press) was published in 2000. Cara Frost-Sharratt is a dynamic, young critic, writer, and editor, who has contributed to many published books.
