Why, I hear you ask, do we need yet another book on grow your own? Why should this one be better than those written by experts? Well, I have yet to read one which is of much use to a beginner. This book sets out to explain not only WHAT to do, but HOW to do it, as well as WHY. The main premise of this book is to help you SAVE money. It is full of little hints and tips, many simply common sense, which even more experienced gardeners will find useful. No one knows it all, never has done, never will, certainly not me But I feel sad, and a little frustrated when I see people working so hard to try to grow their own, only to lose heart and give up because of poor results or it gets too expensive the way they are trying to do things. Follow the suggestions in Beyond the Potting Shed, at least those which fit your circumstances, and enjoy the rewards...
