About the Authors
Brian Thomsen was a founding editor of the Questar Science Fiction line of books, and served as managing fiction editor at TSR, Inc.; he also wrote over 30 short stories, and collaborated with Julius Schwartz on Schwartz's autobiography. He also worked as the publisher for TSR's Periodicals Department at one point. As an author he was a Hugo Award nominee.
Martin H. Greenberg���was honored in 1995 by the Mystery Writers of America with the Ellery Queen Award for lifetime achievement in mystery editing. He is also the recipient of two Anthony awards. Mystery Scene magazine called him "the best mystery anthologist since Ellery Queen." He has compiled more than 1,000 anthologies and���is the president of TEKNO books.���He lives in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Vampires, werewolves, and witches are always evil, right? Not so, as a spate of recent literature, television shows, and movies has shown us and as editors Thomsen and Greenberg confirm with 13 tales about supernatural do-gooders. In Jeff Grubb's "Lycanthrope Summer," a police chief, told about a werewolf sighting by his daughter's friend, is more concerned about the intentions of the reality TV exec who has come to investigate. James Lowder's "She Dwelleth in the Cold of the Moon" follows Mi Tzu-hsia, who has been dead three years, as she tries to stamp out every living thing in her corner of the beach; however, when a blinded prisoner is abandoned in the woods to die because he claimed the army of the dead was a myth, she is forced to reexamine her actions. In Thomsen's "A Hollywood Tradition," a writer working on a book discovers a Hollywood legend at the hotel he stops at. Tanya Huff, P. N. Elrod, and others round out this fanciful, fun collection.
