Libby Purves is a novelist, newspaper columnist, and radio broadcaster. She has hosted a weekly radio talk show since 1984, and has worked extensively in religious broadcasting, including the popular British series Mysterious Ways. Author of a number of books for children ages five to ten, as well as three widely translated books on family life, she is married with two children. Eric Thomas illustrated the popular DK title The Children's Illustrated Bible, which won the Christian Bookseller's Convention "Children's Book of the Year" award in 1995. He has worked as a freelance illustrator for many years, and has contributed to a wide range of books on subjects such as history and gardening.
