Jennings has long believed in the need for everyone to have a place to express themselves. She notes that being creative isn't reserved for the special, talented few, nor is it limited to writing & art. This book, full of commonsense advice & encouragement, is intended as a guide to a journey into the creative self. Jennings offers suggestions on equipment & on ways of training yourself to be more open to the world around you. She lays out a program of timed & graduated exercises (mostly written) that you can work through alone or, preferably, with a group of friends. Whether you already make your living in the arts, or whether you want to satisfy a yearning for creative self-expression, this book is a practical, supportive, & trustworthy guide.
