About the Author:
Kathleen Karr is the author of nearly two dozen highly regarded books, including the Golden Kite Award winner The Boxer. Raised on a chicken farm in New Jersey, she worked in the film industry and taught high school and college before becoming a full-time writer. She now lives in Washington, DC.
