About the Author

Ms. Rosemarie Druch, a professional poet, songwriter, visual artist and musician--guitar and piano, was born in Philadelphia, PA where she was raised, studied, and still resides. She is currently divorced. Her daughter committed suicide, and she has a surviving son, Leon ? a teacher! She took four years of creative writing in high school and published in her high school literary magazine. At Temple University, she majored in English Literature and later took a number of formal art courses with Myriam Brown Fine and Earl Lewis. She has exhibited in nine group and 18 solo shows. This is her 19th in many mediums! Some of her artwork appears in her new book. One of her paintings won a gold ribbon and was shown in Pennsylvania for a year. She's also exhibited in Bucks County solo twice. She has her third book of combined art and poetry called Beauty Through Panes with Authorhouse this year and she has thirteen sets of combined art and poetry in the Library of Congress in Washington. She is a member of the Mid-Atlantic Arts Association, the National Museum of Women in The Arts, the Fairmount Park Art Association and is a life-long member of the International Society of Poets. She is a member of the DaVinci Art Alliance and is a former member of the Fleisher Art Memorial in Philadelphia. Her name appears on the Founding Tolerance Wall in Alabama. She is an anti-drug/alcohol activist. Her poetry has received numerous awards and has been published, awarded and recorded by the International Library of Poetry, on www.poetry.com, in the First Philadelphia Poetry Forum Anthology and in a coffeehouse newsletter in Philadelphia, PA. Her previous two books were Seasons in Shadow with Sterling House and Eulogies Unchained.
