Photos on slick, heavy paper in gorgeous full color, typical of Motorbooks publications, will provide more than enough incentive to lure automotive junkies to the new Drive, Ride, Fly series. But there's more to the books than pictures; there's also enough intriguing, concisely presented product and company history to appeal to sports car and motorcycle fans well beyond the book's target audience. In Corvette, Mueller and Woods chart the evolution of what enthusiasts consider America's first sports car, following the vehicle's development, inside and out, through six generations of change--climaxing with the 2005 model. But history actually comes in second to the great magazine-style photo gallery; there's little question that this will whet the appetite for more, more, more about the snazzy, sexy car. This is bound to draw a crowd. Other volumes in the series introduce the Harley-Davidson company, customized motorcycles, and John Deere tractors. Stephanie Zvirin
