The writing is down-to-earth but filled with valuable information on interest rates, budgeting, and credit-card payments. The informative illustrations include examples of utility bills, checkbook registers, etc. Numerous dialogue boxes give definitions of complicated terms and ask readers to consider such questions as how to make tipping easier and how to save for the prom. An accessible book for those who have to make the most of their limited resources.
