"So it was probably inevitable that odd characters like the Knoodle family would pop into my head and start to do outrageous things that demanded my putting them into a story."
About the Author:
Author Barbara Diamond Goldin has written many distinguished books on Jewish themes, including The World’s Brithday: A Rosh Hashana Story, A Mountain of Blintzes, and The Passover Journey: A Seder Companion. In 1997, she received the Sydney Taylor Body-of-Work Award from the Association of Jewish Libraries. A former preschool teacher, language arts teacher, and writing instructor, she currently works as a librarian and enjoys conducting writing workshops. She lives in western Massachusetts. Illustrator Avi Katz was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and immigrated to Israel in 1970. Best known as the house artist for the Jerusalem Report Magazine, he has illustrated more than 100 books, including three winners of the Hans Christian Andersen Honor Award and seven winners if Israel’s Ze’ev prize. He has exhibited paintings, cartoons, and illustrations in America, Europe, and Israel. He is a resident of Ramat-Gan, a suburb of Tel-Aviv.
