Forget what you think you know about first-person action games, because Looking Glass's Thief stands the entire genre on its head. Based in a dark era of industrial-age technology and high magic, Thief challenges players to hide in the shadows, avoid conflict, and (amazingly enough) steal a bunch of loot. Getting used to the game's unique blend of action can be tough, but Steve Honeywell's well-written guide can be quite helpful. The book contains a complete walk-through of the game (including tips for playing at the hardest level) but also includes extensive tips and advice for new players adjusting to the many subtle nuances any good thief should know. Easy-to-read maps are included to help you navigate the game, and a complete description of the unique weapons at your disposal and the enemies you'll encounter can help ensure your survival in the dark world of Thief.
