Red Panda’s sweet tooth puts him in a sticky situation in this scrumptious tale of friendship and fairness.
Red Panda is selling homemade candy apples. They are very sticky and quite delicious. So delicious, in fact, that Red Panda can’t help but feel a little reluctant to let them go. Like most preschoolers, he would rather eat treats than sell them.
He munches one, then another, and sets aside a third for later. What will happen when there’s only one apple left to sell, but two friends waiting to buy? The lovable, friendly characters from Hedgehog’s Magic Tricks are just the right size to discover that sometimes the best treats are those shared with friends.

About the Author
Ruth Paul is an award-winning author and illustrator from New Zealand. In Red Panda’s Candy Apples, she returns to her characters first introduced in Hedgehog’s Magic Tricks. Ruth Paul draws on everyday life for inspiration and ideas and is particularly interested in how people get along. She lives in the country with her husband and two young sons in a straw-bale house powered by its own remote electricity system.

He is very pleased with his sales and even eats one to celebrate. But now there is only one apple left, and his final customers, Ducking and Bushbaby, fight over it, spilling Red Panda's coin jar. Everyone feels bad until Red Panda remembers he has another treat. "Sneaky Red Panda! He has kept another candy apple aside for himself," so all of the animals are happy. "Lick. Crackle. Crunch."
