About the Author
Marcia Williams has written and illustrated many books and retold a number of classics in her warm, accessible comic-strip style. She lives in London.

The history is retold in her signature comic strip—style, with various levels of content on each page. The main narrative focuses on the history of the Tudors. A running bottom strip in graphic novel format offers general details about the time period. For instance, students will learn about hygiene habits and what diseases were prevalent. Additionally, a cartoon ferret provides commentary that will aid readers in their comprehension of the text. The design and accessible narrative will draw readers to the page and maintain their interest. A short overview about Sir Francis Drake, Sir Walter Raleigh, and William Shakespeare will allow kids to build a foundation of knowledge about important British historic figures they will encounter in high school and beyond.
