Dr. Pai is a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Cardiology at Loma Linda University School of Medicine, Loma Linda, California. He is also the Director of the Heart Valve Center and Cardiac Imaging. He trained in India, the United Kingdom, and the United States with medical qualifications from all three countries. He has published extensively with over 250 published scientific manuscripts and abstracts. He has made major contributions in the management of valvular disorders. He is also on the editorial board of several major cardiovascular journals and has served as an editorial consultant for over a dozen journals. He teaches and mentors medical trainees at all levels from medical students to advanced cardiology trainees, and has a passion for patient education. He believes that the patient is the most important partner in decisions and disease management and has to be well-informed.
Dr. Varadarajan holds the title of Assistant Professor of Medicine at Loma Linda University School of Medicine. She completed her general Cardiology training at Loma Linda University Medical Center. Subsequent to that she trained in advanced echocardiography at LLUMC and in cardiac MRI at the University of Southern California. She is well-versed in the field of valvular heart diseases. She has been involved in research in the area of valvular heart disease and has several publications in that field. She is actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and cardiology fellows-in-training.
