Synopsis
The beauty of Haviland China is captured here in both picture and word. Over 400 color photographs display the Haviland china wares which graced dining tables throughout the Victorian Age of Elegance. A discussion of the life is included, along with the history of Haviland production and its decoration. Many of the Haviland patterns have been cataloged using the well established Schleiger numbers, enabling readers to identify unnamed patterns with certainty. Valuable descriptions are also provided concerning the use of various Haviland table wares. A listing of back stamps and a price guide are also included

About the Author
Nora Travis has been involved with Haviland China since 1989, when she purchased the Haviland Matching Service. She is a member of Haviland Collectors Internationale Foundation, and has lectured on Victorian dining with Haviland china to many groups and clubs. Nora resides in Orange County, California.
