Not only does this save money but it also preserves structures with potential historic significance. Engler shows how to evaluate a barn's condition and what is needed to restore it to its original use or to turn it into housing. This title's black-and-white illustrations are comparatively drab but serve their intended purpose. Neither title is essential, but comprehensive collections or those with special interests in custom homes or rural living will find them both worthwhile.
