About the Author
Paula Stokes grew up in St. Louis, Missouri where she studied psychology and nursing. In between her degrees, she spent a year teaching English in Seoul, South Korea. Paula is the author of several books for teens, including Liars, Inc.When she's not writing, she's reading, kayaking, hiking, or seeking out new adventures in faraway lands. She currently lives in Portland, Oregon.

The mystery surrounding what actually happened pushes Winter to seek answers, finding truths that she may never be able to live with. Stokes gives fans of suspense a story full of twists and turns. The pacing slows when Winter develops a relationship with pal Jesse. This might frustrate readers seeking a narrative full of thrills without the romance. The author admirably handles graphic and disturbing content in a subtle manner.
