He is the author or editor of numerous books, including two with Jason Aronson: Does God Help: Developmental and Clinical Aspects of Religious Belief, Real and Imaginary Fathers: Development, Transference and Healing, The Development of Aggression in Early Childhood, and Aggression in Our Children: Coping with It Constructively.
Afaf Mahfouz, Ph.D., chairs the International Psychoanalytic Association Committee on the United Nations, a group dedicated to bringing psychoanalysis to the United Nations.
