R. Conrad Stein is a full-time writer of books for young readers. Over the years he has published more than one hundred titles. Mr. Stein grew up in Chicago. At age eighteen, he joined the Marine Corps and proudly served for three years. Mr. Stein now lives in Chicago with his wife (children's book author Deborah Kent).
