Soft cover. Condition: Good. 1st Edition. INSCRIPTION FROM AL PURDY (no addressee) on ffep; crease to bottom back corner; rubbing to edges; age tanned; otherwise very minimal wear; ".after having said so much of Purdy as the history-conscious poet, the philosophizer on the human condition, the geographer of the imagination, one is suddenly aware of a noisy fellow dragging at one's legs under the impression that they are wild-grape vines, and Purdy pulls one down to the earth on which, however high his head and wide his scope, his feet are surely set." - George Woodcock in the introduction.
