A discussion paper prepared for CIDA.
Urbanization in the Third World is a dynamic force which needs to be better understood in relation to development assistance. This study examines the major issues involved in these processes, relating them to Canada's particular experience and to important questions on the international development agenda. The conclusion is that addressing urban development issues comprehensively, in the context of the wider assistance process, provides a crucial link in our efforts to achieve sustainable development.
