About the Author

Michael Runtz has worked as a naturalist in Canada's national and provincial parks. He is the author of the bestselling books Moose Country, Algonquin Seasons, and the acclaimed behavior trilogy Wild Wings, Wild Things, and Wild Flowers. Wild Wings won the Ottawa Citizen Book Prize for Non-fiction. His award-winning photographs are an integral part of his Carleton University Natural History lecture series, for which he has received Excellence in Teaching awards .
