Roger Stern has written for radio, television, the stage, and the Internet. Stern has written hundreds of stories about such diverse characters as Green Lantern, Supergirl, Superman, Starman, the Atom, and the Justice League for DC Comics; and Spider-Man, Captain America,Doctor Strange, the Incredible Hulk, Iron Man, and the Avengers for Marvel. His first prose novel, The Death and Life of Superman, was a New York Times bestseller.
Jim Shooter sold his first story to DC Comics at the age of thirteen. He went on to write Superboy, The Legion of Super-Heroes, Superman and other titles. In 1978, he became Editor-in-Chief of Marvel Comics. He later founded Valiant, Defiant, and Broadway Comics, and is currently the Editor-in-Chief of Illustrated Media.
Danny Fingeroth was the editor of Spider-Man comics at Marvel Comics for many years. He helped create the Spider-Man animated series in the mid-1990s.
Steve Englehart is best known for writing for such comics series as Captain America, the Avengers, and Doctor Strange for Marvel Comics, and Detective Comics and Justice League of America for DC.
"The popular [graphic novel] Avengers Forever (which Stern co-wrote) took a great deal of inspiration from this ... storyline that involved alternate time-lines and a battle between Kang and Immortus -- with the Avengers stuck in the middle!" -- Brian Cronin
"The volume shows Stern at the top of his form as a writer, cleaning up continuity while also forging a fascinating story without over-indulging in nostalgia and minutiae ... with Buscema and Palmer doing a fine job. Kang multiplies. He divides. I'd like an omnibus that contains all of his appearances. Would that be too much to ask?" -- Jonathan Stover
"One of the best runs on the Avengers ever. I really hope we get to see more of the stories from this era collected as they are in my opinion the quintessential Avengers." -- David Muenchrath
"Roger had the Midas touch with just about everything he wrote for Marvel. Spider-Man, Avengers, Hulk, Doctor Strange, you name it." -- J.M. DeMatteis
