Jeff Wyman graduated cum laude from Berklee School of Music in 1976 with a degree in composition. It was in the early days at Berklee that he first became interested in Bach’s music, which later became a life-long journey of delving deeply into the complexities of counterpoint. What began as a musical exercise in transcribing Bach’s 15 Two-Part Inventions – with no intention of actually playing them – turned into a project that took over two decades to complete. With the publication of this book, the project is now complete. During the years of working on this project, Jeff has taught all types of guitar playing, from classical to classic rock. He has played locally at many venues and art galleries in the Boston area. Jeff is an active member of the Boston Classical Guitar Society. Jeff lives in Concord, MA, with his partner, Karen, stepson Jack, and their Silky terrier – Josie.
