From Booklist:
If you've seen Visalli's Chicago (1988), Boston (1989), and San Francisco (1990), you know what you're in for with this coffee-tabler: big, eye-scorchingly colorful, almost bombastically lighted pictures of city splendors. Like glamorous Babylon-on-the-Bay, Florida's languorously flamboyant metropolis lends itself wonderfully well to Visalli's approach. Indeed, perhaps Miami, with its greater architectural consistency (it's the art deco city) and brilliant sunlight, enables the best match between photographer and city yet. (After all, Chicago's rough-looking most days, Boston's frayed about the edges, and in San Francisco, there's all that damned fog.) At any rate, this is an awfully browsable, enjoyable picture book.
