One moment she's stuck in her pigpen, the next she's in a tea shop gorging on cream puffs. Soon she's going home with a fun-loving baby who's happy to have a pig riding in his stroller, splashing in his bathtub, and jumping on his bed. When a hiccup brings the acorn out and abruptly ends the magic, the experience turns from jubilant chaos into mundane reality--except that the pig has a new friend. The improbable good humor of the baby's parents under the acorn's spell is something that every child wishes for: things are joyously out of control, the result is nonstop fun, and, in the book's memorable refrain, "nobody minded one bit!"
