About the Author:

David Burnie writes about natural history and Conservation. Since 1979, he has written or contributed to more than 80 books and multimedia titles, and has also worked as a consultant for natural history programs on television. He wrote Dorling Kindersley's award-winning How Nature Works and was consultant editor on the DK Nature Encyclopedia. Dr. Philip Whitfield is a noted zoologist and author. He has written a wide range of books for adults and children on natural history and conservation topics.
