Nicolette Parisi, Ph.D., J.D., is a consumer rights consultant and writes on consumer issues for About.com. From 1995 to 1999, Parisi was the Pennsylvania Inspector General. During her career, she has practiced in the litigation department of a large law firm, taught college-level criminal justice courses, conducted research on criminal justice topics, and worked for state government investigating fraud, waste, and misconduct. Her Ph.D. in criminal justice is from the State University of New York at Albany and her J.D. is from Temple University School of Law in Philadelphia. Marc Robinson is co-founder of Internet-based moneytours.com, a personal finance resource for corporations, universities, credit unions, and other institutions interested in helping their constituents make intelligent decisions about their financial lives.
