About the Authors

Gary Shelly<br> Gary Shelly, together with co-author Tom Cashman, wrote and published his first computer education textbook in 1969. Cashman<br> Thomas J. Cashman received his education at California State University, Los Angeles. In 1960, he established one of the first business data processing programs in the United States at Long Beach City College in California, where he taught and served as department head from 1960 to 1966. <br> In 1969, he began collaborating with Gary Shelly.
